Emergency Prayer

Please pray for Diezel. He went to the ER an hour ago.  Steffany was holding him and he started breathing really quickly and then his eyes rolled back in his head and he lost consciousness.  He regained it, lost it again on the way to the ER, and is currently conscious.  They don't know what is causing this.  Adam is in L.A. until tomorrow.  Please pray for the Boster family.

Annerson Grace

Her name is Annerson Grace and we are falling more and more in love with her as each hour passes.  I feel like her mother.  Lex feels like her father. I feel God reminding me over and over again that she is His and He is entrusting her to us.  The ultrasound was amazing.  We both cried when we saw her and realized it was the girl we had been praying for.  Not that we had been praying for a baby girl, but that we pray for our children...all of them...and will soon meet Annerson who we have prayed for by name.

We'll post pics and all that later.  It's 11pm and we just got home.  We had a dinner to go to tonight and Lex had a 8pm final.  It's been a long emotional day.  Today has been a day of constant tears and new feelings.

1 Hour

In exactly 1 hour we are having an ultrasound.  Lord willing, we will get to discover if our little girl is coming in September or our little boy.  The baby moved a lot last night.  I think baby knows the show is about to start and got in prime position for the viewing!!!

According to the poll the majority think it's a girl-35 to 20!  We'll update later this evening.  We have a 10:30 apt. and a 2:30 apt. so I won't be home for a while.

P.S.  We are also dropping Olly off at 10am to get bathed because he got SPRAYED AGAIN BY A SKUNK!  He's out of control that cat.

Clay Pots

Isaiah 45:9-Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker, to him who is but a potsherd among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to the potter, 'What are you making?' Does your work say 'He has no hands'?

We studied this verse in Sunday school yesterday and it's starting to make more and more sense to me as I continue to meditate on it today.  I am a potsherd, a broken piece of ceramic tile, worthless, shapeless clay without beauty, significance or excellence. Except for the fact that God has called me chosen as His child.  God has picked me up to shape into something.  Sometimes I don't think I am "shaping" up to much.  I feel useless, defeated or even too prideful to be used by such an Almighty God.  This lesson reminded me of my struggle with pride. Sometimes I don't try as hard as I should to exult Christ and lower myself.  So today I am going to battle against my pride.  I am reminding myself that my life is nothing but a clay pot.  I am going to war with my flesh and calling on the power of Christ to fight the battle against sin.

Jeremiah 18:4-But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

So will I be usable, shapable and moldable today?  Or will I chose my own way, decide what is truth by my own feelings or desires, and turn my eyes away from Heaven? Will I show the world that I need Christ to continually mediate on my behalf between my sin and a HOLY RIGHTEOUS GOD?

The old hymn states it perfectly

Sin has left a crimson stain.  He washed it white as snow.
He washed it white as snow.  He washed it white as snow.
Oh praise the One who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead.
Oh praise the One who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead.
Oh praise the One who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead.
Oh praise the One who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead.

Jesus!  Jesus! You're the one.  The son of God. The conqueror of death. The King of kings.  The sacrificial Lamb!

Thank you Jesus for seeing Your beauty in this clay pot.

They kiddos have both began to lose weight once again and are having persistent vomiting and diarrhea. Today, the doctor placed feeding tubes in them both to ensure they are getting the nutrition that they need. Please continue to pray for their little bodies, they have a hard road ahead of them.
This is a video that Leah took of Diezel the day after he got home from Ethiopia. He wouldn't smile at all, but has been progressively more as he has gotten better and learned to trust. Oh yeah, this is my first post ever ....LEX

Hound Dog

Yesterday was Lukas and McKayley's birthday!! I tried uploading this video all day yesterday but couldn't. I finally got it to work tonight. It's a video I took when I was there. They're singing Elvis Presley's "Hound Dog". Well kinda singing... one line over and over again. I thought it was so cute and wanted you to see how adorable my niece and nephew are!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NUNU! You are an amazing 3 year old boy. I loved every minute I got to spend with you. You are so full of life and energy.
Fav Lukas quote from my trip, "Baby gets bigger and bigger and bigger." He kept pulling my shirt up trying to see the baby. I'd remind him that it was really small and inside so he couldn't see it yet. After staring at my stomach for like 5 seconds looking hard to see the baby, he'd give up, put his arms in the air and show me how the baby was getting,"bigger and bigger and bigger." It was so cute!
Lukas is a boy after my own heart. He and I both share a passion for Hairspray!

HAPPY 9th BIRTHDAY MAYAYEE! I miss you! Thank you for being the leader that you are in your family. You are a beautiful big sister full of love and gentleness. I am so proud of you for
starting to read your Bible all the way through. Keep it up!
Fav McKayley quote from my trip, "The boys won't stop chasing me! Where are they? Oh no!!!!!!!!!" We were at Chuck E Cheese and the boys kept coming after her. It must be that sweet smile!
HAPPY birthday!

I love doctors and nurses

I just realized how thankful I am that Diezel and Daizy are in the hospital.  BECAUSE...if they were in Africa they would probably not be alive for one, and if they were, they would be getting insufficient medical care in a hospital with little technology or supplies.  I am so grateful that they are in a U.S. hospital where they can truly receive care and efficient medical attention by educated doctors and nurses.  It's just something to be grateful for that we take for granted.

Here's the latest:
Diezel is doing better!!!!! He is making progress. Eating food by mouth. Interacting. He hasn't passed out today. Apparently he was passing out all of a sudden.  He'd go really cold and they wouldn't be able to wake him for a while.  But he hasn't done that in a while. They are waiting for bowl test results to come back to see if he has any parasites, etc. Steffany has been sleeping at the hospital. My cousin Laura is on her way w/ her two kids to Missouri Saturday morning. She will help with the kids at home so Steffany & Adam can focus on the babies.  Please pray for her trip and her time there.

God hasn't left us blind in this. There is a way out & He wants us to glorify His name as we walk down that path.

Thanks for the prayers for our family. The Body is so good.

More pics of the twins

Update:  the twins are both in the hospital and will be there for a while now.  Diezel has pneumonia and they are running tests to find out what else.  He keeps going in and out of consciousness & is completely dehydrated.  Please pray for his body.  Also, pray for Adam & Stef and the kids.  God is sustaining them right now by His grace and love.

Here are a few more pics I took of them.  Aren't they just precious?

I took this when they first pulled up from their flight.  I felt like the paparazzi. I jumped in the car and started taking pics!

Diezel would not wake up when he got home.  He was out so hard.

Please Pray

The twins are home from Ethiopia!!!

They arrived with Adam & Steffany Monday night.  I left Missouri Wednesday morning.  I praise God for the 2 days I had to spend with the babies.  It's amazing what they do to your heart.  I look at them and God whispers, "These are my children".

They took the twins to the doctor Tuesday and had them checked out.  Their weight had increased to 16 (Diezel) and 13 (Daizy) lbs.  He told them to come back Thursday for some more tests, etc.

I just got a call from Stef.  She has taken the babies to the hospital.  Diezel has taken a step back in his weight gain and has actually lost weight in 2 days.  He's having constant bowl movements that aren't allowing him to keep anything down. So they are admitting both of them.  I just hope they will find out what they need to get better soon.

All I can say is that we need to pray.  These babies are so precious to the Lord.  They are in His hands now and always.

My amazing nieces and nephews

I just got back from Missouri last night. I had an incredible time with my Jace, McKayley, Faith & Lukas. I adore those children and love doing life with them. The week was long and I am completely wiped out from juggling 4 children...not to mention 1 in my tummy...so I guess it was like 5! I just loaded the pics from my week onto my computer. These are all from before Adam & Stef came home with the twins.

Night out on the town!  Ok, we just went to Chuck E Cheese...but we were there for like a whole night practically....3 hours!!

Faith & Lukas looking adorable!

McKayley looking gorgeous upside down

"The boys won't stop chasing me!  SAVE ME!"

"Hey!  What else am I supposed to do besides entertain myself on the live video screen?  I'm out of tokens!"

"Please don't tell my dad or Jace that I rode this pink horse.  It's just so pretty."

Lukas playing with his new Super Hero skate park

Do you notice how Faith is holding Jumpy's neck?  She was forcing Jumpy to watch the video we made of Olly's bath. Jumpy and Olly need to seriously hook it up.

Mask painting contest results

Faith's: most colorful
Lukas's: most creative
Jace's: most changed from original form
McKayley's: most beautiful

I'm going to bed.  This post is to be continued laters.

Update on Glenn

Prayer Warriors,

My brother is back in America as of 6:30 am eastern time. My mother
said that he sounded good on the phone. He was scheduled for a
de-briefing in Washington and then would return to his family in
Chicago afterwards. Thanks for the prayers.

Also, for those that know, the twins (from ethiopia) are in Columbia
MO with Adam and Steffany. They are malnourished, but have no other
physical ailments at this time. Thanks so much to all who prayed for
these sick babies. It is because of your faithfulness and God's
righteous hand that Leah and I have a new neice and nephew from
Ethiopia. May God bless each of you accordingly.

Lex
